~~About the Sandos Playacar Resort~~
The Sandos is a comprehensive, 4-star, all-inclusive beach resort located along the pristine Caribbean beach that’s adjacent to the town of Playa Del Carmen, MX. By transfer van, the hotel is located less than an hour from the airport in Cancun. The Sandos is a family-friendly resort meaning that couples, singles and families with children are all welcome. During the month of January, you could be wearing shorts and sandals while most of of your friends back home will be shoveling snow. Average day time highs will reach into the mid to upper 70′s. Bring a light sweater for the gentle evening breezes and air-conditioned restaurants.
A valid US Passport is required to make this trip.
Resort Facilities
The Sandos Playacar Resort comes with a long list of included amenities. There are 5 swimming pools (one of which is set aside especially for adults). There are 4 lighted tennis courts, a complete gym with steam and sauna, plus an extensive Kid’s Club. Ages 2-3 (with parents) Ages 4-12 supervised by our professional staff, and for ages 13-17 there is a hosted Teen Club. For water sports, snorkeling equipment comes included, as do Hobie Cats and Windsurfers. Jet Ski’s and Para-Sailing is available on the beach by local vendors for an cost extra. During the evening, the resort has a Disco Dance Club and shows nightly in the Gala Theater. There’s a shopping mall 10 minutes from the hotel lobby and you can walk to the town of Playa Del Carmen in just 30 minutes.
Dining
The Sandos Resort offers 24 hour room service. Or, you may enjoy sumptuous meals in one of our six included dining rooms.
Gran Festival is the main buffet restaurant of the hotel. The dress is casual and it serves breakfast (7-11) lunch (1 -4) and dinner (6:30-10) every day.
Ola-la is a casual buffet restaurant next to the pool that serves breakfast 7:30 to 11am and lunch from 12 noon to 5pm daily.
Brocolino is a specialty Italian Restaurant open 6-11pm requiring reservations (closed Tuesdays)
Fonda is a specialty Mexican Restaurant open 6-11pm requiring reservations (closed Saturdays)
French Restaurant is a specialty French Restaurant open 6-11pm requiring reservations
El Gaucho is a specialty Steak Restaurant open 6-11pm requiring reservations
Reservations can be made one day in advance. Seating is based on availability. No smoking in any of the restaurants please.
Specialty Restaurants have a dress code.

HOTEL STAYS booked with the agency INCLUDE all hotel TAXES and TRANSPORTATION between the airport and your hotel. These are called “Transfers”. In other words, the van that takes you to your hotel upon arrival in Cancun and then back to the airport for your return home.
